Surface Enhancing Technologies
Plasma- Tec Industries has modern equipment in-house to offer the Plasma Transferred Arc Weld (PTAW) method. This is a process that deposits very precise coatings of perfectly controlled alloys on mechanical parts that are subject to intense wear, significantly extending their service life. PTAW technology is particularly effective in protection against corrosion, thermal shock and abrasion.
Typical application areas of the PTA areas are extruding machine screws, valves, valve seats, accessories for ships, petrochemicals and power generation, cutting tools as well as all types of equipment used for mining, crushing, rolling, road building and tunnelling.
One of our interests here at Plasma-Tec is to utilize welding automation to gain the benefits of :
- repeatable high quality welding, zero repair rate
- increased productivity
- decrease dependence on welder skill
