HISTORY & COMPANY INFORMATION

Plasma-Tec Industries Ltd., established in 1998, mainly focuses on fabrication and repair, overlay, and specialty welding. Plasma-Tec has attained a strong, yet broad client base over the years and is always looking forward to the opportunity of increasing its network of satisfied customers. More recently, we have added our Machining & Design division to expand and make our company more diverse.

We, at Plasma-Tec Industries Ltd., take great pride in every product that departs our facility. From project start to completion, we strive to exceed our customers’ expectations. Meeting production deadlines, ensuring quality products and excellent customer service is what Plasma-Tec Industries is known for.

Plasma-Tec maintains a Quality Control program certified to ASME standards and is qualified to practice as follows:

  • Construct pressure piping as per ASME B31.1 & B31.3
  • Repair and/or Alter ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 Pressure Vessels
  • Manufacture fittings in accordance with CSA B51 & the Alberta Safety Codes Act & Regulations

At Plasma-Tec, we implement our own procedures and qualify and register them with the Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA). Various procedures relating to the pressure welding of carbon and stainless steel valves and other associated pressure piping systems are in practice. In addition, Plasma-Tec Industries implemented a variety of procedures relating to weld overlay via the Plasma Transferred Arc (PTAW), cold wire tungsten inert gas (TIG), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) processes.

With the increasing demand of wear prevention, Plasma-Tec Industries primary focus has been on directly targeting the specialty welding and weld overlay market. More specifically, to provide a cost effective solution to our customers who experience problems with corrosion and wear.

Our company caters to the unique construction requirements of our customers in the oil and gas, mining, pulp and paper, horizontal/vertical drilling, petrochemical and valve sectors.
